Mary’s Dog Grooming Parlour

1-1 dog groomer who specialises in your dog’s needs and lifestyle.

Level 3 qualified professional dog groomer based in Amesbury

Our Services

  • A full groom includes paw pad trim, nail clipping, sanitary trim, ear cleaning, wash and dry using specialised shampoo and conditioner based on your dog’s skin and coat type, styling of your choice, finished with a spritz of dog cologne and a bow or bandana.

  • Sometimes all your dog needs is a freshen up between grooms to maintain their lovely coat and keep them smelling fantastic. This is again done with shampoo and deep conditioning suited to you dog’s skin and coat type.

  • This service is best used for when your dog just needs to have their nails trimmed and buffed.

  • Teeth cleaning with Emmi-Pet is an anaesthetic free, silent, non-vibrating, non-invasive, ultrasonic toothbrush.

This means no manual brushing, scrubbing or irritation to the teeth and gums. The ultrasound waves break down the tartar and plaque along with killing germs and nasty bacteria.

This is a great option to consider for your dog as it helps to prevent gum disease and those expensive vet bills.

  • A puppy package includes 3 sessions over a 12-week period in which each appointment slowly builds up to a full groom. This helps to introduce your puppy into grooming without them becoming overwhelmed.

1st session - Brush, general tidy up (scissor work) and an introduction to the smells and sounds of a salon environment.

2nd session - Wash and dry using specialised puppy shampoo as well as nail clipping, ear cleaning and sanitary trim.

    3rd session - Full groom.

  • Mary’s Dog Grooming Parlour also grooms Guinea Pigs and Rabbits!

A full groom for a Guinea Pig includes; nail clipping, ear cleaning, eye clean, sanitary area cleaning, wash and dry and any styling if necessary.

A Rabbit full groom includes; nail clipping, ear cleaning, dry bathing, de-shedding, eye clean, sanitary trim, and any styling if necessary.

About Mary

I have always loved animals since I can remember, particularly dogs. My first love was Max, our Border Collie, who taught me so much. He is the reason I decided that my future lay in working with dogs. I especially like working with nervous dogs as I love to see the transformation from being nervous to building trust and confidence, as well as helping them by providing a stress free and enjoyable experience.

My Qualifications

  • I studied at Sparsholt College to gain my Advanced Technical Certificate in Animal Management.

  • At Sparsholt College I also acquired my Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Animal Management.

  • I gained an iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management.

  • I previously worked as a dog groomer in Romsey which gave me the knowledge and experience to own and manage my own dog grooming parlour.
